Kardamili is a jewel of the outer Mani — a village of stone towers and olive groves wedged between the Taygetos mountains and a turquoise coastline. It was the adopted home of Patrick Leigh Fermor, one of the greatest travel writers of the 20th century, and it is easy to understand why he never left. A private transfer is the most fitting way to arrive in a place this special.
Outstanding. Kardamili is one of the best hiking bases in the Peloponnese. The Viros Gorge trail network offers routes of varying difficulty, from gentle walks along the stream to challenging ascents into the Taygetos range. The E4 European long-distance path passes directly through the village.
Yes. Kardamili is approximately 80 km from Costa Navarino, about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car. A day trip allows time to explore Old Kardamili, hike part of the gorge, swim, and have lunch. We offer return transfers at a fixed rate.
May, June, September, and October offer the best conditions — warm weather, quiet trails, and fewer visitors. July and August are hotter but swimming is at its best. Spring wildflowers in the gorge are spectacular.
