Epidaurus is home to one of the most perfect acoustic spaces ever built — a 4th-century BC theatre where a whisper on stage can be heard in the last row, 14,000 seats above. Combined with the sanctuary of Asklepios, the ancient healing centre, it is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. A private taxi makes visiting Epidaurus effortless, whether you are coming from Athens, Nafplio, or anywhere in the Peloponnese.
Yes. We offer evening transfers to the Epidaurus Festival with a wait-and-return service. Your driver drops you at the theatre entrance, waits during the performance, and drives you back afterward. This is by far the most comfortable way to attend a show, especially from Nafplio or Athens.
For the archaeological site and museum, allow 1.5 to 2 hours. If you are attending a festival performance, arrive at least 30 minutes early to find your seat and settle in. The theatre is partially open-air, so bring a cushion for the stone seats.
The archaeological site and museum are open year-round (reduced hours in winter). The Festival performances run from June to August, typically on Friday and Saturday evenings. We recommend booking performance tickets well in advance, as popular shows sell out.
